The Card Patterns design team came up with heart boxes instead of cards this week. So I also decided to make something other than a card. I came up with this photo frame (maybe not exactly a frame coz I kinda permanently fixed the photo to the frame) using old red colored packaging.....The picture is of my parents when I was growing up.........don't they look great together?

I am obsessed with "faux postage" backgrounds these days, I have a tendency to make loads of cards using some new technique that I learn and then forget all about it. I hope I don't forget about this one!!Happy crafting......

Some how almost all my cards have floral patterns, so this is a welcome change!! And I used brads at the fours corners of the background for the first time too. This my take on this week’s CP sketch. I was in a hurry to post this so didn’t even wait for the glue to dry :P e
The background image has been created using the “faux postage” technique, which I learnt from here. I absolutely love this technique, this is the second time I am using this, this was my first attempt at it....

I liked this weeks card patterns sketch so much that I made another card based on it. Here again I have used the butterfly embossed paper, I have highlighted the butterflies within the frame with glitter glue.

I made this one for a friend who shares her birthday with me (my birthday was on Sunday, 9th August). I didn’t get time to do much crafting this week as my parents are visiting, so I made a really simple card........

Making a photo frame using handmade paper had been on my mind since a long time, I just couldn’t figure out how to make one. I finally bought a handmade frame, did some reverse engineering and figured out how to make one. I like how this has turned out, initially I thought of doing some quilling around the edges, but I guess it looks pretty without that too, what do you say?
This one shows it without a picture in it...Here's a view of the back...from the side (do pardon my cluttered workspace :P )Making a frame is not as difficult as it looks, I’ll probably post a tutorial soon.......
