Daring Cardmakers Challenge - Circles

I recently came across a blog called daring cardmakers, it is by a team of cardmakers who post a cardmaking challenge every Friday. You can make your cards based on the week’s challenge and send them a link. I think it’s a brilliant idea.
This week’s theme is circles. This is what I came up with.....
I have used quilling strips for the circles......

2 Congratulations Cards

Here are two new baby congratulations cards, the blue one for a boy n the pink one for a girl (as if you hadn’t figured that out yourself ;) ). They can be used for any other occasion also...........

I really like the way ribbons have been used in this. I stuck the ribbons onto matching paper and cut along the edges using a pattern cutting scissors (the scissors have been lying around for a long, I never really found a good use for them until now).

The “Congratulations” has been stamped using a clear stamp made by my husband at home. He has put together a complete setup to make clear stamps. It is a very messy job and needs some practice to make stamps with more detail in them nonetheless I am really excited about it as now I can get custom made stamps!!

Handmade Paper Cards

I recently got a lot of handmade paper in all kinds of colors, textures and patterns. They are absolutely awesome......I am just brimming with ideas of how to use them in my cards. I have been very busy at work lately so haven’t got a chance to try out much.......however I did manage to make a few.
Here are 2 of them.
A name can be written below “happy birthday” to add a personal touch in both the cards.

My Etsy Shop

I finally set up shop at www.etsy.com, for those who are not aware etsy is a great place to sell and buy handmade products. I couldn’t find any sellers from India :( , anyway I guess someone had to make a start..........my first offering at my shop are these two brightly colored birthday cards.
I’ve used bright blue and purple handmade paper cardstock for the base. The “happy birthday” in the background, the birthday cake and the “happy birthday” below it are stamped using clear stamps. The candles have been colored with glitter glue.
Please do visit my shop at etsy :

Some More Photo Cards

Photo cards are a great concept....I guess framing and keeping them would be a good idea.....and if the frame is also handmade, even better!!

I used one of my favorite childhood picture for this card......yup, that’s me with my mum and sister....guess which one is me :)

I plan to gift this to my mom, I’m sure she’ll love it.......

I used pages torn out from an old desk calendar to make the frame for this one......
