Wooden Block Prints

Wooden block prints PTI CAS card
Happy Friday everyone! My husband got back from a short trip to the US this week and needless to say I got a ton of craft goodies :). Here's a peek of what I got....
I haven't been able to play with my goodies yet but I did manage to find time to make a card.
The Wooden Block prints set from PTI has been on my wishlist ever since it was released. The patterns are straight out of carved wooden blocks used by local artisans in India to create gorgeous hand block printed fabrics. The stamps remind me of beautiful sarees worn by my mom, so for my card I made a border similar to the ones found on hand block printed sarees. I chose the colors to be similar to vegetable die colors used the sarees. The stamping isn't perfect which creates an effect of block printing on fabric. I also added a gold shimmer border to add a touch of glamour!
