Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Feathered Lilies Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello everyone, Happy New Year! Juhi here, welcome to my stop at the Altenew Vintage Galore Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)! You should be arriving here from Terri Koszler's blog, up next is Nathalie DeSousa‘s blog. If you get lost, you can go back to the Altenew Card Blog and start from there or check the list of Designers in the hop listed down.

What an absolute joy the Feathered Lilies Craft Your Life Project Kit is! I had so much fun creating with this kit, I could not stop once I got started!

Floral beauty and messages of love all in one! The stamp set features a beautiful bouquet of lilies, elaborate leaves, and baroque elements. The minimalist style is a colorist's dream, as it provides plenty of open space to add coloring and shading. Not a coloring enthusiast? Our coordinating coloring stencils make adding color sweet and simple. Finally, we have maximized this stamp set with tons of sentiments so you can stay in touch with your loved ones.

These kits frequently sell out and take a few weeks to restock, but you can avoid having to wait by subscribing to the Craft Your Life kit, and bonus-get 14% off of the regular price with your subscription!

I made 3 cards with the kit, I'm sure many more will follow!

Red and Gold Embossed Card

Supplies:

For my first card I decided to I played around with the embossing folder. I wanted to create a monochromatic card but I wasn't sure about the color. So, I tried a few different colors and finally settled on this plum cardstock. I inked up one side of the embossing folder with a darker plum shade and ran it through my die-cutting machine. I used my fingers to rub gold antique wax on some of the raised parts of the design. I finished the card by adding the sentiment from the set and a die-cut hello.

Hello and Ward Hugs Card

I used the stamp, layering stencils, and coordinating dies to create my second card. It was so fun and quick to put together. I finished the card by adhering the die-cut flowers onto a dark blue cardstock base.

Slimline Watercolor Card

My third card is a watercolor slimline card. I went with no-line watercoloring in shades of blue on this one. I finished the card adding black splatters and the fancy yay die-cut.

  6. I thought the first card would be the most beautiful of your cards as it's very elegant in the monochrome plums and gold accents-- what could overshadow this lovely card? Well, the watercolor card is a very close second!! Your water coloring is soft and natural. The background is just what was needed to pull the whole card together. Thank you!
