Card Patterns Sketch 13

Here is my take on this week’s Card Patterns sketch. I made this for a friend’s son’s first birthday.
This is the sketch on which my card is based.
I usually don’t like too many layers on my cards; it is a lot of work. I cannot manage to sneak in more than 1 hr of card making each day, so making a layered card would mean making less than a card a day, besides I can never figure out what colors go well together. But this time I decided to give it a shot, and I love the result!!
I love the bright colors of the card; I hope they appeal to the birthday boy. And added some buttons to brighten it up some more.
I stringed the punched stars with a ribbon by punching holes in the center of the stars.

  1. I love this card, Juhi. The big 'star' is just perfect! And I think you should work with layers more often... adds a great dimension to the card, and you have done such fabulous work with this one that I am sure you will do it again! :-)

    Love,

  4. Thanks for dropping by my blog. :-)

Even I handcut the paper for tea bag folding. But the problem is, I used a paper that was a bit too thick for this star I think :-(. There are loads of tea bag folding classes here in Mumbai; maybe I should find out what they use... we can always get tutorials online anyway.

    Happy crafting!
