DIY Exploding Box Tutorial and a Workshop Alert

Exploding Boxes are one of my favorite paper craft products to make and they are one of my best sellers too. In this video tutorial I show how to make this 4x4x4" exploding box with the layered cake inside it.

I hope you enjoy the video, I would love to hear your feedback.

I will also be conducting a half day workshop on making more elaborate exploding boxes on Sunday, 5th April 2015, the details of which are as follows:
Learn to make elaborate, multi-layered Exploding Boxes for gifting/selling

When: Sunday, 5th April, 1:00pm to 5:30pm
Where: Whitefield, Bangalore
Who can attend: Adults and Teens
What you get to take home:
- One completed 6x6x6" multi-layered Exploding Box Card (similar to the one in the pictures)
- Supplies to make one more 4x4x4" box
Fees: 3000/- per person (inclusive of all supplies)

What you need to bring with you to the workshop: A pair of scissors and fevicol

Make and Take Workshop - Exploding Box Cards

Learn to make 2 types of exploding boxes.

Type 1 - single layered with a 3 tiered square cake in the centre
Type 2 - Multi layered with space for more than 20 pictures and messages and a 3 tiered circular cake in the centre

All supplies including embellishments and die-cuts to complete the project will be provided in class.

When: Saturday, 7th March
Time: 12:30 to 5:30pm with a tea break
Venue:Whitefield, Bangalore
Cost: 3200/- per person (50% fees needs to be paid in advance through online bank transfer, remaining to be paid at the venue).

Over the top birthday explosion box

Since I don't get to craft much these days, I'll just share some of the projects I made in the last year but couldn't share. Maintaining a blog requires a lot of effort, it seems that I can either craft or blog about it or read and comment on the blogs of my crafty pals.....I am incapable of doing all the three things at the same time :(. I would love to know how you (all my friends from the blogosphere) manage to craft and blog about it at the same time.

I went overboard while making this birthday explosion box.

Making the circular layered cake was a challenge for me and it turned out a tad too tall, don't you think so?

I made an exploding box

This Valentine's day themed exploding box had been on my mind for a very long time, I finally managed to complete it last weekend. The box measures 4x4x4 inches. I've used loads of MFT Die-namics dies and the stamps are entirely from this stamp set, I got it free with my previous purchase from MFT stamps, just love the set.
