I am back a week's break. Missed working on the CP sketch last week.
This is the sketch on which my card is based. I have used 3 crochet flowers with 3 layers in each of them. I got the instructions to make the flower from here. Here is a closer look at the flowers.I got a simple embossing set last week, I have tried to use it in this card (the bottom row, just below the sentiment), the results are not great. It seems the tool only embosses very thin and glossy paper. I stamped a bee, cut it out and stuck it with double sided foam tape.

ReplyDeleteTotally cool! And thanks for the link to the flowers! I used to crochet a lot when I was a kid so this will be very cool! Can't wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteLove your card, Juhi. And all the pain you took to make those pretty flowers. Congrats also for the bookstore news you posted in the last post. I just read it. I know how big a deal it is :-) All the best.

Hmmm so a new look for the blog...nice!!!
ReplyDeleteThe card looks lovely although the embossing part is not too evident in the pictures.
I guess embossing the written content would be a great idea. Will make it look even better.

I guess you bought Jef's dry emboss tool.. I have it too and never use it... don't quite like what it does to the paper :-(... My 2-year old son is now using it to decorate his book :-). He loves the horse and the apple that I had along with my kit. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI hope we start getting things like the embossing powder or the Cuttlebug here soon. Too expensive to buy that machine online! :-(
Thanks for the comment on my blog.
Love,
Smita
