Stamplorations CAS #16 Mid Challenge Inspiration

Hello everyone! I am super excited to be Guest Designing for the Stamplorations CAS Challenge. Here's my second card for this month's challenge.
This month's optional color twist is Any Pastel Color.
You can ofcourse enter a CAS card even if you don't use any pastel color. You can  link up to 3 CAS cards. Non-STAMPlorations products are OK.
Prizes: $10 GC for the winner; $5 GC to the top picks.
For my card, I first created the background using cracked pistachio distress oxide ink. I then stamped the lotus from the Lotus Love stamp set and colored it with color pencils. Finally stamped the stem and leaves.
I stamped the sentiment in gray as I thought black ink would look too harsh.
I hope you like my card, please hop on over to the Stamplorations blog for more amazing inspiration from the rest of the DT.

Here's my take on the moodboard.

Coloring on Kraft cardstock with color pencils was so much fun! I just love the My Favorite Nut stamp set from Neat and Tangled, it is such a delight to color!

Hop along to the Heart Desires blog for some amazing inspiration from the rest of the design team.

Handmade Chinese New Year Card #1

Hello everyone! This is our first Chinese new year in Singapore, it's fun to learn learn about new cultures, I enjoyed making Chinese New Year cards for my local Singaporean friends and my daughter's teachers. Sharing one card of those cards today.
Pink monochromatic stamped handmade card for chinese new year using altenew crisp inks and inkadinkado stamps

I would have loved to splurge on a new stamp set for the occasion but sadly none of the stores were stocking anything I wanted. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, I was forced to dig up my stamp stash to find an old Inkadinkado stamp set called "Asian by Design".
For my card I stamped the blossoms is various shades of pink Altenew crisp inks. I overlapped the blooms to create the illusion of depth.

Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop

Even though I'm a watercoloring newbie, I couldn't resist playing along with the Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blop Hop.
The inspiration cards are absolutely stunning, I can't wait to try out the techniques and new tools (if I can find a way to fund those!).
It took me 3 attempts to get the look I liked. After stamping and clear heat embossing my Hero Arts Flower Cling Stamp (I don't remember the name of the stamp) on watercolor paper,  I randomly colored my image with Gelatos. The colors I used were - Banana, watermelon, raspberry and metallic grape. I spritzed the colored image with water and let the colors run into each other, I also ran over it with my finger to blend the colors further, the end result was some beautiful hues of pink and purple.
The colors remind me of the beautiful sunsets I would see from my grandma's house while growing up...linking the card to Less is More Week 227 Color Challenge - Sunsets.

The card's layout is inspired by this week's sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch - #126

CAS birthday card

I made another card within 2 days! And I seem to be getting my mojo back too, yay!!
This one has a stamped and heat embossed background, the stamp is a really old one from Unity. I ran over the stamped part with some distress paints followed by splatters of perfect pearls mixed with water.
The butterfly is by Hero Arts, coloured with distress markers and some wink of Stella glitter. The sentiment is from PTI.
