November - STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge

Welcome to the STAMPlorations November CAS Card Challenge. As usual, you need to make a CAS card, the theme for the month is Optional Color Twist: Black + Pink.

We don't have many rules to keep it easy to play along. You are challenged to create a CAS card with or without the optional color twist. You may enter up to 3 CAS cards. Remember to link to this blog post and display the challenge graphic to be eligible for the prizes. You can use any craft products you want, but if you have STAMPlorations stash, we would love to see what you create with it. And of course the most important rule - have fun! 
Here's my card:
I stamped this gorgeous lily spray onto the right of an A2 size watercolor cardstock panel and colored it in with distress reinkers in pink and gray.

I finished the card by adding some black watercolor splatters with a size 4 round watercolor brush and adding sentiments from the Hey Sunshine Clear stickers pack.

STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge: Mid Month Inspiration October 2020

 Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be back with the mid-month inspiration for the October 2020 edition of the STAMPlorations CAS card challenge. The year seems to have flown by and it's already October! As usual, you need to make a CAS card, the theme for the month is Optional Color Twist: Gray + Orange.

We don't have many rules to keep it easy to play along. You are challenged to create a CAS card with or without the optional color twist. You may enter up to 3 CAS cards. Remember to link to this blog post and display the challenge graphic to be eligible for the prizes. You can use any craft products you want, but if you have STAMPlorations stash, we would love to see what you create with it. And of course the most important rule - have fun! 
Here's my card:
I've used the Christmas Wreaths - ARTplorations Stencil - Sanna Lippert Designs to create a fall wreath. I added distress inks with a wet brush over the stencil to create the watercolor wreath.

Hello everyone! I am so happy to be back with the mid-month inspiration for Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge for May.
As usual, you need to make a CAS card, the theme for the month is Things with Wings
  • Players can link up as many winged-themed CAS cards as they want as long as each card is in its own separate blog post
  • Non-STAMPlorations products are OK
  • Prizes: $15 for the winner voted by the design team; two randomly chosen winners of $5 GC
My card features the Shower of Flutters - ARTplorations Stencil with Lindy's Stampgang shimmer sprays on Kraft cardstock.
The sentiment is from the Happy Sunflower - Large set.

Stamploration May CAS Card Challenge - Things with Wings

Hello everyone! I am so happy to be back as a designer for the Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge.
As usual, you need to make a CAS card, the theme for the month is Things with Wings
  • Players can link up as many winged-themed CAS cards as they want as long as each card is in its own separate blog post
  • Non-STAMPlorations products are OK
  • Prizes: $15 for the winner voted by the design team; two randomly chosen winners of $5 GC
I've made a fun card using the Shower of Flutters - ARTplorations Stencil and distress oxide inks.
I first rubbed the stencil with Seedless Preserves, Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks, spritzed the stencil with water to activate the inks and pressed it onto a precut watercolor cardstock panel.
I love the messy watercolor effect created by the distress oxide inks. 
The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Rose - Shery Russ Designs set.

My card features the Houses - The Bee's Knees and the Noteworthy 2 stamps.  I stamped the houses on watercolor paper with Distress Oxide inks and spread the ink with some water.

Stamplorations June CAS Challenge

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great week. Can you believe it's June already! The year is flying by so fast!! Today I'm sharing a CAS card that I made for the Stamplorations June CAS Challenge. The theme for the month is
Anything CAS going with the optional twist being to use a masculine color. Remember as always
  • You can link up to 3 CAS cards.
  • You can enter a CAS card with or without the optional color twist.
  • Non-STAMPlorations products are OK
  • Prizes: $10 GC for the winner; $5 GC to the top picks

 I had a blast making this one layer CAS card. I started off by masking a portion of the ship for the waves and then went on to mask the ship and the waves to add the sun at the back. I hope I have not gone over board with all the masking! I used distress oxide inks, I so love them, they make ink blending so easy!
The ship is from the gorgeous True North Stamp set and the sentiment is from the Noteworthy 2 Stamp set.

Stamplorations CAS #16 Mid Challenge Inspiration

Hello everyone! I am super excited to be Guest Designing for the Stamplorations CAS Challenge. Here's my second card for this month's challenge.
This month's optional color twist is Any Pastel Color.
You can ofcourse enter a CAS card even if you don't use any pastel color. You can  link up to 3 CAS cards. Non-STAMPlorations products are OK. 
Prizes: $10 GC for the winner; $5 GC to the top picks.
For my card, I first created the background using cracked pistachio distress oxide ink. I then stamped the lotus from the Lotus Love stamp set and colored it with color pencils. Finally stamped the stem and leaves.
I stamped the sentiment in gray as I thought black ink would look too harsh.

Coloring on Kraft cardstock with color pencils was so much fun! I just love the My Favorite Nut stamp set from Neat and Tangled, it is such a delight to color!

Stamplorations CAS #16 Challenge

Hello everyone! I am super excited to be Guest Designing for the Stamplorations CAS Challenge. This is my first card for the challenge.
This month's optional color twist is Any Pastel Color.
You can ofcourse enter a CAS card even if you don't use any pastel color. 
I chose pale yellow as my pastel color. I first stamped the Large Happy Sunflower with Fossilized Amber Distress oxide ink, then I masked out the sunflower and added Fossilized Amber Distress oxide ink around the edges.
I stamped the sentiment in gray as I thought black ink would look too harsh.

The Heart Desires Challenge #8

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! We at The Heart Desires blog are back with the very first challenge for 2017. We have a gorgeous winter theme this month. Here's the inspiration image.
I made a CAS card in shades of blue and grey with the Neat and Tangled Scandinavian Prints Stamp set.
