The Heart Desires Challenge #17 - Mid Challenge Inspiration

Hello everyone! Welcome to the mid-challenge inspiration for The Heart Desires Challenge #17.
I tried some sketching on my card, I can't say that it is very good but it'll do. I drew the spooky house and the tombstones, the bats are also hand-drawn and hand-cut. I created the background with Distress Oxide Inks. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

The Heart Desires Challenge #17

Hello, everyone, happy October! It's fall already and I am enjoying the beautiful weather here in California. Having stayed in tropical climates all my life this is my first ever autumn and I am super excited!

This month's graphic is all about Halloween, I just love the layers of the cake. I created some layers with patterned paper on my card.

I just love the colors on this one! Watercolors are the medium of choice for me these days, I can't seem to get enough of them, the background is watercolored and so are the fall leaves and the fox and the owl.
This card took forever to make, somehow I loved how the elements looked individually but I could not put them together! After a lot of fussing, I finally settled on this look.

The Heart Desires Challenge #15

I recently attended the Santa Clara Scrapbook Expo and came back with an empty wallet and a bag full of craft supplies! Among the tons of stuff I got was 2 stacks of American Crafts textured cardstock. It was love at first sight for me, so even though I have stacks and stacks of cardstock and patterned paper, I just had to have them :). The colors and texture were too gorgeous to pass by! So for my card for The Heart Desires Challenge #15, I let the paper do the talking.
I'm not very happy with how this turned out and will probably make another card for the challenge. Here's the inspiration for this month's challenge

The Heart Desires Challenge #14 and a Blog Hop


Hello everyone, we're celebrating the anniversary of The Heart Desires Store and the THD Challenge this month with a hop where you could be a winner! We are also starting something new for the challenge.

Now over to my card. I was inspired by the gorgeous colors in the mood board.....I first stamped the flowers from the CONCORD & 9TH WILDFLOWER Stamps with Distress Oxide inks and then colored one of the flowers with Copic Markers and Prisma Color Pencils.

The Heart Desires Challenge #10

Hello everyone! I'm back with inspiration from The Heart Desires Challenge #10. I just love, love, love this month's moodboard! I have already made 2 cards inspired by it and can think of so many more to make!

The colors are just gorgeous and they go so well together! Love those geometrical shapes too, not to mention the map background! I'm you'll find the moodboard equally inspiring!

Neat and tangled
Now over to my card. I loved the map background in the moodboard so I die-cut patterned paper with a map on it. I first sprayed repositionable adhesive at the back of the patterned paper and stuck it onto white cardstock. I then die-cut the panel with the Neat and Tangled Hexstar Cover Plate and peeled off the hexstar pattern, leaving behind the remaining patterned paper pieces sticking onto the white cardstock backing.
The cute girl and teddy are stamped on Strathmore Watercolor paper and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

Let's Meet for Coffee soon...

Hey there! Just poppin in to share my second inspiration card for The Heart Desires Challenge #8.altenew coffee watercolor card
I created the background with Salty Ocean distress ink. I stamped the coffee cups and pitcher on strathmore watercolor paper and colored them in blue with Zig Clean Clear Real brush markers. I added some gold details with a metallic gold marker.
