I finally found something useful and fun to do with patterned paper scraps. Over the years I have accumulated shoe boxes and shoe boxes full of paper scraps which I find too hard to let go off and didn't know what to do with either….but not anymore :)
I created these gorgeous blooms from patterned paper scraps.
They are incredibly quick and easy to make. You will need:

1. Paper scraps
2. Floral dies/punches – I used Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die and a few MFT Die-namics dies.
3. Glimmer mists – I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Star burst sprays.
4. Gemstones/rhinestones/buttons for the flower centers
5. Double sided foam tape

Die-cut flowers with all your floral dies out of patterned paper scraps.
Don’t worry if the colors and patterns of the die-cut pieces don’t go well together; just spray some semi-opaque glimmer mist (I used walnut stain ink and Lindy Stamp Gang sprays in various colors) onto all the die-cuts. This will give an even color tone not to mention shimmer to all the layers. Make sure to spray a semi-opaque layer so that the patterns on your patterned paper are not totally lost.
To make the most of my glimmer sprays, I first spread a layer of un-cut scraps and spread my die-cut flowers on top of them and then sprayed with glimmer sprays. This way I do not loose even a single drop of my precious glimmer sprays!
 Once all the die-cuts have dried, loosely group them into different layered flowers…..for best results mix and match cuts from different dies.
Once you've grouped the flowers, take each layer of a flower and crush/crumple each petal randomly with your fingers. I followed Dr Sonia’s tip from her Easy Paper flowers Tutorial, she says “ Using your fingers rather than an embossing tool tremendously cuts down the time taken to make your flower!” and I totally agree with her.
Put together the layers with double sided foam tape – another tip from Dr Sonia’s Easy Paper flowers Tutorial. It adds dimension to the flowers and is super quick!

 Add you preferred flower center and your gorgeous bloom is ready!
